Our home group program provides a valuable time for students to connect with each other, their teacher and focus on the mandatory Keeping Safe: Child Protection Program taught in all government schools in SA.
Home group consists of shorter lessons on Monday and Friday (30 minutes) and a longer dedicated time on Wednesdays (50 minutes). It is important that students attend these sessions as if they are regular lessons.
As well as the KS:CPC content, these sessions are where students receive important messages and information about extra-curricular opportunities and school activities they can get involved in as well as updates and information relevant to the day to day running of the school.
In Term 4, students in the Middle School will be focusing on careers and future pathways, participating in a range of challenges and activities.
In the Senior School, Year 12s are preparing for exams. Years 10 and 11 will be looking at healthy choices, including the topics of sexting, cyberbullying and consent.
Year 11 students will also be participating in a Road Awareness Program to support safe choices on the road.
We’d also like to promote the opportunity for all students to nominate for school leadership opportunities in 2025. Applications for these roles are advertised in year level assemblies, please reach out to your Homegroup teacher for more information.
