Student Reception is an office near the Front Foyer of the school where students go if they are sick, late, need to leave early or have to pay in some money for an excursion, tickets for concerts, school and subject fees, computing fees or fees for any other activity.
They can also hand in work to teachers or leave messages for staff here and drop off or collect forms and notices. Stationery and most items of new school uniform can be bought at Student Reception, while a noticeboard displays items of used uniforms that are for sale in the community.
Parents should also telephone Student Reception to make contact when their children are sick or absent from school for any other reason.
The staff who work in Student Reception are trained in first aid procedures and are accustomed to dealing with a wide range of emergencies and student welfare issues.
All are kind, caring, professional people who have special skills in dealing with young people and the wide range of activities that are inherent in a large metropolitan secondary school.
