Selection Process

Students are accepted into the Think Bright program by application and interview.

Application forms must be filled in by a teacher, a parent and the student. They are due in May of each year and interviews are held shortly thereafter.

If shortlisted, students attend an interview. They must be prepared to discuss their leadership and problem-solving skills, and how they have demonstrated initiative and an interest in rigorous learning. Evidence of these attributes should also be brought to the interview.

Interviews for Year 7 students will normally be held in May of the year before entry to Year 8 at Brighton Secondary School.

Applicants receive a letter indicating the outcome of their application towards the end of Term 2.
